• When ordering foreign currency of any type online... whenever possible, always use your debit card instead of a credit card.   If you use a credit card, most US Banks will charge you the same credit card fees they would if you were overseas!  Debit cards do not charge foreign currency fees of any kind.
  
  Some Capital One cards, some Platinum Amex cards, and a few high-end Visa and MasterCard credit cards do not charge these fees... and can be used to purchase currency.  However, all other credit cards issued by US Banks will charge these fees - thus should never be used to purchase foreign currency!  If in doubt... call your credit card provider before using a credit card to buy currency.

• It is wise to always purchase some foreign currency in bank notes before departure... so you will have cash upon arrival at your destination to allow instant access to emergency supplies.

• If you wish to purchase more than $3000.00 USD (cost) of foreign currency, it is necessary to use 2 or more debit or credit card accounts... (the second card must be from a different bank). 

• The debit or credit card used to purchase curency must have a physical home billing address, (not a PO Box).  All currency purchased through Travelex is always automatically be delivered to the billing address of the debit or credit card used to purchase the currency, (business adddresses are not allowed... no exceptions).

*Currency delivery time is two business days, (for orders placed Monday through Friday before 300pm Eastern Time). 

Currency can not be purchased in the name of a business! 

PO Boxes and business addresses are not accepted as delivery addresses... (no exceptions to these delivery requirements allowed).

All currency purchased through Travelex is always automatically delivered to the billing address associated with the debit or credit card used to purchase the currency... which again... cannot be a business address!  This means any credit/debit card associated with your business cannot be used to purchase currency... unless that credit/debit card is in your personal name and your home address is the billing address for your business credit/debit card!

It is always best to spend down all foreign currency before coming home... the exchange losses for trading foreign currency into US dollars after you get home is always a minimum of 12%... and can exceed 25%!  These losses vary with the currency exchange rate when you get home (verses rate when you originally purchased the currency).  Described losses also include the exchange fees charged for this service... which must be paid a 2nd time to convert foreign currency back to USD! 

If you have to exchange currency after you get back to the USA, you must do it at an airport or at your local bank... this service is not available online.
